ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ප්‍රථම විදුලි බලාගාරය වන මෙගාවොට් 350ක ධාරිතාවකින් යුතු කෙරවලපිටිය “සොබාධනවි” සංයුක්ත චක්‍රීය විදුලි බලාගාරයේ විවෘත චක්‍රීය අදියර මීට සුළු මෙහොතකට පෙර විවෘත කර තිබෙනවා.

එය ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ බලශක්ති ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ සුවිශේෂී සන්ධිස්ථානයක් සනිටුහන් කරනු ඇති බවයි ජනාධිපති මාධ්‍ය අංශය සඳහන් කළේ.

ප්‍රාථමික ඉන්ධන ප්‍රභවය ලෙස ද්‍රවකෘත ස්වභාවික වායුව (LNG) භාවිතා කරමින් එහි මෙහෙයුම් කටයුතු සිදු කිරීමට නියමිතයි.
