විදුලිය ගාස්තු අඩු කිරීමට අදාළව නව යෝජනාවලික් ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලෙස මහජන උපයෝගිතා කොමිසම ලංකා විදුලිබල මණ්ඩලයට දැනුම් දී තිබෙනවා.

එම යෝජනාවලිය ලබන 8 වන දිනට පෙර කොමිෂන් සභාව වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලෙසයි දැනුම් දී ඇත්තේ.

පසුගිය ඔක්තෝබර් මස 24 වෙනිදා ලංකා විදුලි බලමණ්ඩලය විසින් විදුලි ගාස්තු සංශෝධනයට අදාළව යෝජනාවලියක් මහජන උපයෝගිතා කොමිෂන් සභාව වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කර තිබුණු අතර, විදුලි ගාස්තු සියයට 4ත් 11ත් අතර ප්‍රතිශතයකින් පහළ දැමීමට ලංකා විදුලි මණ්ඩලය විසින් එහිදී යෝජනා කර තිබුණා.

නමුත් එම යෝජනාවලිය අධ්‍යනයේදී විදුලිබල මණ්ඩලය සිදුකරන ගාස්තු යෝජනා ප්‍රතිශතයට වඩා වැඩි ප්‍රතිශතයකින් ගාස්තු අඩු කිරිමට හැකියාව ඇතැයි නිරීක්ෂණය වන බවයි මහජන උපයෝගීතා කොමිසම පැවසුවේ.
